Welsh Mountain Stallion

Bellbird came to us as a mature age and dignified stallion. He was a lovely pony
and a gentleman. He loved running with our mares and always a pleasure to
be around. A very true to Type stallion.

Sect B Stallion

Harry "Houdini" was a very influential stallion for Salient Stud.
All of our Sect B mares are either Daughters or Grand-daughters of this great man.
Harry was also a great show stallion winning countless shows.
Harri sadly passed away in March 2010

Sect B Mare

Minuette was a lovely mare to show and a great broodmare and along with
her daughter Clan Chattan Lady Bird began our breeding of Welsh Ponies
She won the APSB Champions of Champions among many many wins
in her show career with Salient Stud
Also the dam of: S Pride of Erin, S Blue Danube, S Pirouette, S Rhapsody
All multi Supreme winning mares in their time.

Elargee Talisman

We purchased Boysie as a weanling and he lived his life out
with us at Salient Stud producing many wonderful foal that
some of which still reside at Salient Stud
Boysie exceeded all expectations in the show ring. Wins to numerous to mention
Altho one stands out Champion of Champions at the SA Stud show.

Lace was one of the truely great ambassadors for the Welsh Mountain
Ponies. She had outstanding movement and was so true to type.
She was a multi Supreme winning mare and an effortless mare to show in hand
She only ever produced one filly - Salient Old Lace who remains at the stud today
along with her grand-daughter.
Lace was the dam of the very successful - Salient Simpson (Gelding)

Salient Master Bronze

Welsh B Stallion

Master Bronze was a Multi - Supreme Champion while residing with
us and prduced some outstanding progeny which still roam the paddocks
of Salient Stud today. Master Bronze now resides in South Australia with
Lia of Wynara St. Lia has had some outstanding results with him and
he has been a top producer for Wynara Stud.

Chanel was a very special pony at Salient Stud.
She was the winner of many hack championships

Dearly loved by Kim in QLD who has done an amazing job with her both in
Dressage and show jumping!
